That meta information tag (<meta>) is known to identify the page's source, keywords used for browsing, or a brief description to seem in search results. The <meta> tag is known to give commands to the browser

Improved Searching

You will discover three <meta> tags that work to help improve your chances of being found by the search engine. Meta information for search engines comes in pairs: name and contents.

·         Keywords: Keywords are words that people might use to search for Web page, or synonyms for words that appear in document.
·         Description: This is usually a paragraph of information about the page.
·         Author: The name of the page author can be included here.
